The machines are updated remotely, but some new products may not be recognized yet.
Containers may also be refused for these reasons:
- The barcode is dirty or unreadable.
- The container is damaged or crushed.
- The container is not eligible for a deposit refund (check the list).
- The product is not registered in Quebec.
If an eligible container is refused, you can bring it to a service counter to get your refund.
