The QBCRA is a nonprofit organization tasked by the government with managing the deposit-refund system for returnable beverage containers. It is responsible for developing, implementing, financing and managing the deposit-refund system according to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle. The QBCRA acts on behalf of beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling and reclamation of beverage containers in Quebec.
